THE
MAN WHO VISUALIZED FAITH
Born in a Christian family in Kerala on
March 10, 1949, Pastor Samuelkutty Mathai accepted Jesus as his Savior in
his early youth. He served as a Sunday school teacher in his church for
several years and participated in other spiritual activities as well. When he was 24, he was affected by a
lethal disease. When all hope of his survival was lost, he said to God, God,
if you allow me to live again in this world, I will surely do your ministry”.
And God healed him.
Pastor Samuelkutty
Mathai reached
Delhi on January 22,
1975 in search of a job. Starting with a small job, he later became the
manager of Sabina Printing Press and remained in that post for ten years. In
1980, he married
Elizabeth. A sister-in-charge
in a Govt. hospital, she is an ideal partner in his ministry and life.
God blessed them with three children, Sabina, Samson and Sonia. Sabina
is a staff nurse and is married to Shibu Thampi. Samson is a BD student
in Union Biblical Seminary, Pune. Sonia is a III year B.Sc. nursing
student.
Even before dedicating himself to
fulltime ministry, Pastor Samuelkutty Mathai was very active in evangelism. He was
instrumental in pioneering

Fellowship
Church
in
North India. In 1977, he started the
Faridabad Christian Youth Movement with the aim to reach the unreached in
Haryana. He served as the joint secretary of Christian Evangelical Movement
in
North India. Later he became the general
secretary of Pentecostal Youth Fellowship in Delhi for three and half years.
In the year 1989, God reminded him of his
call and gave a vision to start a new ministry. At first, he hesitated citing
many excuses. But, the definite call of God and the burden for the perishing
souls made him put his foot forward to tread the path of faith and realize
his vision. There was nobody to help and encourage him, but God led him in a particular
way. Thus, Indian Christian
